Stop FDA from Approving More Unsafe Irradiated Foods!
Food irradiation is the process of exposing foods to ionizing radiation - gamma rays,
electron beams, or X-rays - to kill bacteria, parasites, insects, or fungi that can cause
spoilage or make people sick. Currently, it is used on just a small part of the food supply,
such as many herbs and spices. But, industry groups propose major expansion of its use on
other foods, when there is substantial evidence that irradiated food is not safe for human
consumption.
Help CFS urge FDA to do further research before more irradiated food goes on sale!

Tell the FDA to Impose a Moratorium on the Approval of Genetically Engineered(GE) Fish!
Currently, there are several companies developing genetically
engineered fish, and at least one company that is presently requesting
approval from the FDA to market genetically engineered fish to consumers.
FDA is currently considering allowing sales of genetically engineered
fish to fish-farming operations and consumers, making them the first
genetically engineered animals to land on consumer's dinner plates.
These animals pose irreversible impacts to the environment and unnecessary
risks to human health. Tell the FDA not to approve GE fish for the market!
